Proof that Mos Def is always on point...
Hip hop, rap and spoken word artist Mos Def reads Malcolm X's "Message to the Grass Roots" on November 9, 2006. Part of a reading from Voices of a People's History of the United States.
The video for Mos Def's "Katrina Klap" (utilizing the instrumental for Juvenile's "Nolia Clap"), a critical reaction to the lack of response by the Bush administration to the Hurricane Katrina disaster.
Mos was arrested in front of the MTV VMA's performing this song. I guess it didn't matter to Big Brother that he had a permit to perform.
